The Victorian Government supports the veteran community through a number of programs including:
- grants to support education and commemoration projects
- annual program and study tour for Year 9 and 10 students to learn about Australia’s war history – Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize
- preserve and care for war heritage and history – and produce a revised Heritage and history strategy
- grants to restore war memorials and avenues of honour
In addition, the Victorian Government also provides support including
- help for 750 veterans to find a new career within Victorian Government
- guide for the Australian Defence Force, veterans and their families to transition to life in
- concessions for veterans and their families
- grants that support veterans and their families
