The Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region, Shaun Leane today announced that the Reserve Forces Day Parade (Vic Inc) and the Rotary Club of Monash will receive funding to commemorate, support and remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

Shaun Leane Announced $3,000 for the Reserve Forces Day Parade and $2,500 for the Rotary Club of Monash from the Commemoration and Education Grant Program, that will conduct the annual march and service held at the Shrine of Remembrance and to conduct an Anzac Service involving 53 schools and around 700 students and teachers in the City of Monash.

The Victorian Veterans Council’s Commemoration and Education Grant Program is available to community organisations, local councils and educational institutions.

Funding through this program supports communities in Victoria to commemorate the service of Victoria’s veterans and tell stories of Victoria’s war efforts.

Twenty eight projects across the state have been approved for a total of $216,502.
