The Victorian Government’s Neighbourhood Activity Centre Renewal Fund is delivering a boost for Brentford Square as part of the Building Works Program.

The $3 million Neighbourhood Activity Centre Renewal Fund is providing dozens of local suburban shopping strips with grants to stimulate business activity, support local jobs and improve both public amenity and confidence to accelerate post-coronavirus (COVID-19) recovery.

Brentford Square in the City of Whitehorse is receiving $100 000 to make improvements such as landscaping, seating and paving upgrades. The on-ground works will create local jobs, while supporting local businesses, including retailers, cafes, restaurants and service providers.

The Victorian Government is working in partnership with local government to provide this much needed support to local businesses and the community.

The Victorian Government is supporting businesses through the $534 million Business Support Package. This is in addition to $6 billion in economic relief invested since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
