Future Decided for Former Croydon South PS Site
Two thirds of the former Croydon South Primary School site will be transferred to the Maroondah City Council for community use in a successful land-swap arrangement between Council and the Education Department.
The complicated swap will also see some land currently leased by Maroondah Council at the former Parkwood Secondary College site also transferred to Council.
The win for the Education Department comes with the transfer of land currently owned by the Council adjacent to Melba College in Brentnall Road, Croydon shortly to become incorporated into the school’s grounds.
The community has long called for the Croydon South site to be retained for community use and the Andrews Government have brokered a great deal with great local outcomes.
